A new quality of self-care: a comparison of egg-shaped masturbators

Let he who does not neglect any area of life cast the first stone… “Always” there is something “more important”, isn’t there? For example, how many times do we “ride” just to satisfy ourselves, whether we have a partner or not. Many times it happens that masturbation is treated as a (mere!) physiological need.

That said, so-called ‘self-care’ is much more than just mechanical stimulation. This “quality-time” with the self is very important in many therapeutic processes, which only proves its importance and effectiveness. It is therefore worth making sure that it abounds with additional stimuli, while also developing our awareness of our sexuality.

Egg masturbators: small, portable and discreet

I started using the masturbator relatively recently. Already after the first use, I realised how naive my excuses to refrain from this purchase had been. Even so, although the pandemic period was not conducive to travel, I soon discovered that the 25 centimetres of the classic Fleshlight had nothing to do with being on hand outside the house. Thankfully, this problem has been noticed by erotic gadget manufacturers too, including: Gvibe, Satisfyer, Svakom and (a true veteran of the art) Tenga… In the last decade alone, they have produced a plethora of portable models for convenient pampering in any environment and anywhere (where legally permitted, of course). These egg-shaped mini masturbators are extremely versatile, yet discreet. But before I elaborate on them, let’s focus for a moment on their manufacturers.

Who is behind the egg masturbators?

And there’s someone to talk about. The Gvibe brand can be associated with numerous models of vibrators of the most complex shape. The expansion of their offerings with disposable masturbators surprised me a bit. There are as many as five types of balls on offer, varying in internal structure.

Meanwhile, Satisfyer, for me, is a forerunner in the sex toy field. Sensual packaging, innovative solutions (such as the famous penguin ) and honesty towards the user (through good accessory availability, for example) are just some of the arguments in favour. In this category it offers us 6 disposable models from the ” Egg ” series, distinguished by the fact that they do not need any additional moisturising.

I have dealt with Swak products many times, although they invariably give me mixed feelings. On the one hand, they are premium toys, elegant and functional. On the other hand, the lack of attention to some of the details spoils that impression a bit. This time, one of the five masturbators in the Hedy X series, the largest and most durable of the gadgets under discussion today, has to contend with this opinion.

Finally, Tenga. In my opinion, it’s the most experienced player among those listed here, if only because of its myriad range of masturbators, both disposable and reusable. The Japanese brand has as many as three series of balls in its portfolio: the hard-boiled, wonder and new standard, as well as single models offering a total of 27 designs.

Elastomer – what kind of material is it?

There is no denying that technological advances in materials have had a huge impact on the availability of this type of product on the market. This is evidenced by the fact that all manufacturers of these ‘disposable materials’ have chosen to use similar materials from the elastomer family. Similarly, because elastomer is a very broad term that encompasses all polymer plastics and natural materials capable of reversible deformation. The development of materials of this kind has been very rapid in recent years, although the idea itself has been known for hundreds, if not thousands of years. How is it possible that such a novelty has been known for a long time? Well, the most classic example of elastomers is… rubber.
